For new baccalaureate graduates asking where to study after earning their qualification, Université Internationale de Libreville (UIL) provides one of the answers best suited to higher education and career alignment in Gabon. With a campus in Essassa, 23 km from the Gabonese capital, UIL trains holders of literary, scientific and technical baccalaureates from Licence to Master level through four leading higher-education establishments: Faculté de Droit et de Science Politique (FDSP), Institut Supérieur de Gestion et d’Économie Appliquée (ISGEA), École Polytechnique de Libreville (EPL) and Institut International de Recherches Biomédicales et Biotechnologie Carles Luce Donald KAMBANGOYE (IRBK).
Located within Institution Internationale Berthe & Jean, Université Internationale de Libreville is presented as one of Gabon’s higher-education institutions offering high-quality programmes, with qualifications delivered in partnership with international universities such as Paris Dauphine (France), École Polytechnique Universiapolis d’Agadir (Morocco), Management School Bordeaux in Senegal and Université de Montréal (Canada).
Recognised as being of public utility by the Gabonese authorities in 2013, UIL was redesigned to support students’ work and intellectual and scientific development. It is presented as an exceptional education centre meeting international standards for teaching and advanced facilities, located in natural surroundings on a 60-hectare estate away from the capital’s bustle.
The setting includes modern premises, an international library, auditoriums, air-conditioned classrooms, a University residence with nearly 400 beds, a full sports complex (football, tennis, basketball, volleyball and more), a fitness room, a television room, an infirmary, an 800-seat University restaurant, an animal and zoological park and laboratories equipped with modern equipment.
