Processing carried out for the university section is governed in particular by Gabonese Law No. 001/2011 on the protection of personal data, as amended by Law No. 025/2023 of 12 July 2023, under the supervision of the Autorité pour la Protection des Données Personnelles et de la Vie Privée (APDPVP).

This page describes the website and the digital services currently offered. Each new processing activity must be assessed, explained appropriately and subject to any required formalities before it is implemented.

The Université Internationale de Libreville Berthe & Jean is responsible for processing carried out for its information, guidance, admissions and university-life activities, within the limits of the services actually available on the website.

For questions about personal data, the contact point is contact@uil-universite.com. The University may request information needed to verify the identity and capacity of the person making the request.

Depending on the service used, the data may include:

Vercel may provide hosting, performance measurement and, after consent where required, audience statistics. Supabase may provide authentication, the database and authorized application services. Sanity may provide certain editorial content, Resend transactional emails and Cloudflare Turnstile anti-bot verification. A conversational assistant or processing provider may be used only for features that are actually enabled.

These providers may process data through infrastructure located outside Gabon. The University must verify the applicable safeguards, contracts, formalities and transfer conditions before carrying out any related processing.

Data is retained for the time needed for the relevant purpose, the follow-up of an application, the relationship with a student or compliance with an applicable obligation. Precise retention periods must be defined in the University's internal procedures and reviewed with the responsible teams.

Access to admissions or student records is limited to authorized people. Applicants and students must never submit a password, medical data or a confidential document in a field that does not explicitly request it.

Subject to the conditions provided by law, any person concerned may request access to, correction, updating, restriction or deletion of data that is inaccurate, incomplete, ambiguous, outdated or retained unlawfully. Requests should be sent to contact@uil-universite.com.

A complaint may also be brought before the APDPVP. Publishing this policy does not replace the declarations, authorizations, impact assessments or records required for a specific processing activity.
