Dr Koueli Henga Georges breaks new ground

Université Internationale de Libreville – Berthe & Jean (UIL-BJ) celebrated a historic milestone with the thesis defence of Mr Koueli Henga Georges, a member of the institution’s first doctoral cohort from the Doctoral School of Political, Legal, Economic and Management Sciences (ED-SJPEG). This achievement symbolises UIL-BJ’s commitment to academic excellence and the training of high-level researchers in Francophone Africa.

A thesis at the heart of African constitutional challenges

Dr Koueli Henga Georges successfully defended his thesis in Public Law, entitled:

“The constitutional judge and crises in French-speaking Black Africa”.

Praised for its methodological rigour, analytical depth and scientific relevance, the work explores the crucial role of constitutional courts in preventing and managing political crises, offering new perspectives for strengthening the rule of law across the continent. The jury unanimously awarded the Très honorable distinction with congratulations in recognition of the contribution’s excellence.
