The University organised the thesis defences of the first cohort from its Doctoral School of Legal, Political, Economic and Management Sciences. The five doctoral candidates concerned were awarded the Doctorate degree.
A first cohort of five doctors
From 16 to 19 December 2025, the doctoral candidates presented their work before international panels of teacher-researchers. Their research addressed legal, political, economic and social issues in Gabon and the sub-region.
The subjects studied included the speed of criminal proceedings in Gabon, the sub-regional integration of refugees in the ECCAS area, the normative power of constitutional judges and the criminal protection of patients.
An academic milestone for UIL-BJ
These defences marked the completion of the five candidates’ doctoral pathways and an important stage in the development of the University’s research activities.
